February 2017 Portland Airport - Audit 12 Monthly Technical Inspection of AGL Facilities

Carried out 12 monthly Technical Inspection of the AGL equipment.

Lowered Apron Floodlights for clean and maintenance.

Cleaned and levelled all Runway Lights.

Fitted bird spikes to edge lights in an attempt to keep them clean.

Provided written report to satisfy CASA AGL requirements.

 

May 2015 Portland Airport - Installation of Medium Intensity Runway Lights

Design a Medium Intensity Runway Lighting (MIRL) System with circuit redundancy to suit Portland foggy conditions

Design and Install single sided PAPI

Installation of pit and duct system with inbuilt circuit redundancy

Installation of series isolation transformers (SITs) and 5kV cable

Installation of FAA style Elevated Edge Lights

Installation of taxiway centreline lights

Design new control system with Pilot Activated Lighting (PAL) controller.

Supply and install constant current regulators CCR for PAPI

Flight check and commissioning

Carried out 12 monthly Technical Inspection of the AGL equipment as per CASR 139.235-1. & CASR 139.240-2(b)

Provided condition assessment report of all AGL equipment.

Reviewed compliance of AGL equipment and provided written statement for inclusion in the Aerodrome Manual.

Reviewed the Aerodrome Manual and offered suggested improvements.

Made recommendations to improve reliability of AGL system and rectify any Non-compliances.

Provided budgetary pricing for future upgrades
