Carried out 12 monthly Technical Inspection of the AGL equipment as per CASR 139.235-1. & CASR 139.240-2(b)

Provided condition assessment report of all AGL equipment.

Reviewed compliance of AGL equipment and provided written statement for inclusion in the Aerodrome Manual.

Levelled and cleaned PAPI boxes.

Inspected Runway and Taxiway Lighting.

Tested photometric performance of Apron Floodlighting.

Reviewed the Aerodrome Manual and offered suggested improvements.

Made recommendations to improve reliability of AGL system and rectify any Non-compliances.

April 2015 Port Lincoln Airport Replace Series Isolation Transformers Runway 15/33

Locate all SITs.

Install 5kv Primary plugs

Replace existing SITs with FAA style SITs.

January 2014 Port Lincoln Airport - Installation of Carpark Floodlights

Airport Electrical were contracted to install floodlighting into the new Terminal Building Carpark. 

 

July 2013 Port Lincoln Airport - Installation of Apron Floodlights and Power for Aircraft Ground Power Uniits

Airport Electrical were commissioned to procure and install apron floodlighting poles and fittings to provide the appropriate level of illumination on the apron.

Power for the Aircraft Ground Power units were also installed at the same time.

 

March 2013 Port Lincoln Airport - Design and Construct Taxiway Edge lighting for new Terminal Apron

Design a compliant taxiway edge lighting system for the newly constructed taxiway.

Procure all equipment necessary.

Trench and Install pit and ducts.

Install Edge Lighting.

Modify existing AGL control system to allow connection of new Taxiway.

Test and Commission.

December 2012 Port Lincoln Airport - Design and consruct a Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) system for the airport.

Calculate PAPI location using design aircraft.

Excavate and pour PAPI foundations.

Install pit and duct system from the PAPI back to the ALER.

Set up , level and commission PAPI

Install a Constant Current Regulator to supply the PAPI.

January 2008 Port Lincoln Airport - Design and construct new Airport Lighting Control System

The existing Airport Lighting control system was over 20 years old and spare parts for the PLC were extremely difficult to obtain and finding local people with the knowledge on how to program and repair faults was difficult. Airport Electrical was commissioned to design a new AGL control system with Pilot Activated Lighting to cater for now and the future.

Our standard design for an AGL control system is simple to maintain and any one with electrical knowledge can easily fault find it if the need ever arises.

February 2002 Port Lincoln Airport - Replacement of old epoxy Series Isolation Transformer on Runway 01/19.

The epoxy sealant in many of the old style transfomers on 01/19 had cracked and was causing severe earth faults. Neww rubber encapsulated transformers were installed to replace these.

March 1999  Port Lincoln Airport - Reposition both sets of Threshold End Lights.

Due to pavement overlay and strengthening works the existing threshold end lights needed to be raised and repositioned.

March 1998 Port Lincoln Airport - Installation of Low Intensity Runway lights on Runway 15/33.

Airport Electrical was subcontracted by the District Council of Lower Eyre Peninsula to install buget priced low intensity lighting on the secondary runway at Pt Lincoln Airport.

The main aim of this project was to allow continued nigh operations at the airport whilst major overlay works were occuring on the main runway.

October 1995 to present Port Lincoln Airport - 12 Monthly Technical inspection of Electrical facilities at the airport.

Reviewed compliance of AGL equipment and provided written statement for inclusion in the Aerodrome Manual.

Made recommendations to improve reliability of AGL system and rectify any Non-compliances.

Provided budgetary pricing for future upgrades

April 1992 Port Lincoln Airport - Contition Assessment of the Electrical system at the Airport .

The District Council of Lower Eyre Peninsula was interested in taking over the operation of the Pt Lincoln Airport as part of the governments privatisation of aerodromes policy. Airport Electrical was requested to review the condition of all electrical facilities at the airport and make recommendations as the the expected future expentiture required if DCLEP were to go ahead with signing up to operate the aerodrome.
